Hematologist/Oncologist

This locum tenens Hematology/Oncology MD opportunity in California offers an ongoing assignment starting ASAP. Clinicians will provide outpatient care for an adult patient population within a structured medical office setting, managing general hematology and oncological conditions. The role features a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no call obligations, supported by a dedicated clinical team including an oncology physician, LVN, RN Case Manager, and infusion center RNs.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage
• Manage 13-17 patients per day with 3 new consults expected daily
• Evaluate and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions within an outpatient clinic setting
• Maintain all clinical documentation through the EPIC EMR system for patient encounters and treatment planning activities

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Schedule is structured as 4.5 days of clinic time and 0.5 day of education time per week
• Call required: No
