The Sioux Falls VA Medical Center is seeking a Staff Hematologist/Oncologist to join our collaborative team and provide comprehensive cancer care to our nation's Veterans.

Your Practice
As a Staff Hematologist/Oncologist, you will evaluate and manage Veterans with a broad range of hematologic and oncologic conditions and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Your clinical responsibilities will include:
Evaluating, triaging, and prioritizing Hematology/Oncology consultations
Ordering and overseeing systemic and chemotherapeutic therapies
Performing bone marrow aspirations and biopsies
Interpreting pathology, imaging, molecular, and genomic testing
Coordinating multidisciplinary treatment planning
Participating in tumor boards
Providing survivorship and long-term follow-up care
Conducting goals-of-care discussions and collaborating closely with Hospice and Palliative Care
Providing clinical supervision and support to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
Supporting infusion center operations
Providing on-call coverage as needed
You will also have opportunities to participate in clinical trials, research, teaching, quality improvement, clinical outcome tracking, and the development of institutional treatment protocols and pathways.
