This 867-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine is a charter member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, dedicated to advancing cancer care through clinical research and innovation. The facility features a comprehensive cancer institute with a newly opened Phase 1 Clinical Trials Unit and a groundbreaking shared care model for BMT patients that incorporates telemedicine, data interoperability, and physician education.

Job Details:

• Join a 20-physician medical oncology-hematology faculty practice alongside 3 dedicated hematologists
• Provide care for both benign and neoplastic hematology patients
• Participate in post-graduate education for medical oncology-hematology fellows
• Collaborate within a system-wide Hematology Disease Management Team to ensure one standard of care across the health system
• Engage in clinical research through a newly opened Phase 1 Clinical Trials Unit developed in collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering
• Participate in a shared care model for BMT patients including autologous, allogeneic, and CAR-T cell transplant patients
• Contribute to quality and research programs across the integrated health care system
• Ideal candidates are BC/BE medical oncologists/hematologists, whether recently fellowship trained or experienced in academic or community oncology settings
