Help Desk Technician

Robert Half is seeking a hands-on Help Desk Technician to support a Windows-based environment. This Help Desk Technician will be responsible for supporting the ticket workload amongst other internal partners.

Duration: 2-3 month contract

Location: 100% onsite in Pasco, WA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM to PST

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain PCs and peripheral devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported through help desk tickets.
• Collaborate with team members, customers, and vendors to address IT-related concerns.
• Provide timely and detail-oriented support to maintain system functionality and user satisfaction.
• Utilize tools like ServiceNow ITSM to manage and track service desk requests.
• Implement and support Active Directory and Microsoft Windows 10 environments.
• Conduct routine system checks and perform necessary updates to ensure security and reliability.
• Document technical procedures and resolutions for future reference.
• Offer guidance and training to users on IT systems and software as needed.

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a related field.
• Knowledgeable in a Windows-centric environment, with strong troubleshooting skills to resolution
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems and maintaining ticket workload.
• Solid understanding of IT concepts, including networking and system maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to maintaining attention to detail and delivering quality service.

The hourly range for this position is $25 to $30/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
