Help Desk SpecialistJob Location: Boston, MADuties and Responsibilities Include: The IDCS Readiness Mobile Specialist 2 will be a Transit Applications team member supporting both the Inventory Data Collection System (IDCS) devices as well as Trapeze EAM mobile application tablets. IDCS is used in warehouse and stockrooms throughout the client organization; devices in use are handheld barcode scanners and barcode printers. Trapeze EAM tracks maintenance to facilities and subway right-of-way; the mobile version runs on android tablets. This position will primarily support EAM tablets and secondarily support IDCS devices.Tablet tasks include but are not limited to:Tablet preparation for production or training useUser support via help desk ticketsTablet on site help at facilities as neededLearning the EAM application as it pertains to tablet usage and user requirementsIDCS tasks include but are not limited to:Team member for configuration and deployment of new devicesUser support via help desk ticketsOn site triage of devices once or twice a week as neededLearning and supporting the IDCS application as it pertains to networks, scanners, and printersHandheld barcode scanners are used at almost every client's facility locations.Recommended Skills Include: Ability to work with a diverse and large internal customer base. Problem solving skills are a must.
Experience with mobile devices, printers, tablets, user help desk triage is needed to be successful, as is knowledge and understanding of networks. Candidate will be expected to adhere to core hours or flex hours as needed, report work accomplished, be a self-starter, and finish assigned tasks in a timely manner.Requirements: (1) Candidate will use and care for a client's laptop for remote work; (2) attendance at occasional office meetings on site (3) on site triage at maintenance facilities; (4) applicant has a valid driver's license, their own car, and is responsible for all car costs.
