Heavy Equipment TechnicianTalon Recruiting has partnered with a leading Heavy Equipment Dealer. We are in search of a Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team in Apopka, FL.Responsibilities:Perform and/or assist in the performance of general mechanical duties.Repairs all equipment components and systems assigned to them with minimal assistance.Work on engine overhaul, fuel systems electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.Work on major components with close supervision.Perform trouble shooting on minor problems.Uses manufacturers technical troubleshooting resources (Tech lines) independently along with diagnostic tools (laptop, meters, pressure gauges).Attend training sessions and meetings.Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:Minimum three years of hands-on diesel experience or graduate of vocational diesel courses.Necessary tools to perform the position.Strong customer service and communication skills.Computer experience.CDL preferred.Benefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
