Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery n
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and component replacements n
- Respond to service calls and complete work orders accurately n
- Maintain fleet reliability for steel mill and mobile equipment operations n
- Utilize diagnostic software and maintenance systems to track repairs n
- Communicate equipment status and parts needs with site leadership n
- Other duties as required n
Requirements:
n- n
- 3-5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment and a strong working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems, diesel engines, Cat SIS, Cummins INSITE, Volvo Penta, etc. n
- Intermediate computer skills n
- Experience with diagnostic software n
- Ability to work independently and make sound troubleshooting decisions n
- Valid driver's license with acceptable record n
- Must have your own tools from ¼ inch to 1 inch drive impact wrenches, socket sets, and wrenches up to 2 inches n
- Willingness to work shift schedules, overtime, and occasional weekends n

Physical Demands:
nWhile performing the duties of this job, prolonged standing, walking, and manual dexterity are required. The employee will also need to bend, climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
