Equipment TechnicianFoley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri. Our Equipment Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing heavy machinery in the shop. This includes large and small earthmoving equipment.

The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistanceSafely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistanceFrequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materialsClimbing on and off equipment and working at varying heightsStanding, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periodsSafely operating tools and equipmentOur Ideal Candidate:Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulicsGeneral knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instrumentsMust be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publicationsWhat Will Put You Ahead:Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with CAT earthmoving equipment)Stable work historyKnowledge of use of various heavy equipment and the ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
