Oversize Load Handler / Heavy Equipment Operator (40/60 Lift)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Oversize Load Handler / Heavy Equipment Operator to operate a 40/60 lift for the loading, unloading, transportation, and staging of large HVAC systems and other oversized industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling heavy, high-value loads in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 40/60 lift to load, unload, transport, and position oversized HVAC units and related equipment.
- Move large and heavy materials throughout the facility, yard, and loading areas.
- Ensure proper load balancing, rigging, and secure handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Work closely with shipping, receiving, production, and logistics teams to coordinate equipment movement.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety regulations.
- Accurately complete equipment inspection reports and load movement documentation.
- Assist with staging, inventory management, and organization of oversized materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
