Heavy Equipment OperatorABCI, a local mid-sized civil construction company, is seeking a full-time, experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy construction equipment, primarily loaders, excavators and rollers, in support of various civil construction projects.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipmentProven record of safe operation of loaders, excavators, rollers and related machineryValid Driver's LicenseAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testEffective communication skills (speech, vision, hearing/listening)Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbingWillingness to work overtime as needed based on weather and project demandsEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment of various types, sizes, and weights safely and efficientlyFollow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations at all timesImmediately report equipment or job-site issues to the Foreman, Superintendent.Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections, documenting results per company requirementsConduct minor maintenance and servicing of equipment; report major mechanical issues to a supervisorClean equipment regularly and maintain it in good working conditionPerform all job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and equipment operational requirementsCarry out other duties as assigned or required by project needsABCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including individuals with disabilities and veterans.
