Heavy Equipment OperatorOperate all types of heavy equipment.Educational Qualifications:Commercial Drivers License Type A (submit copy with application)Experience in operating of heavy equipment preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:1. Operate heavy equipment in compliance with UISD operating safety policies and procedures.2. Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.3. Maintain, clean and store equipment and materials in a safe and proper manner.4. Able to maintain and care for school grounds.5.

Operate equipment in a manner that is safe to operate.6. Operate equipment in such a way as to not damage property belonging to the district and /or campus staff.7. Able to work extra-curricular functions outside of regular assigned work schedule as requested to include football games, elections days, weekends, etc.8. Able to work outside of regular assigned work schedule to repair and or replace needed facilities to include nights and or weekend duty as requested.9. Able to complete paperwork, reporting, and other documentations as required.10.

Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing during regular business hours to confer with district personnel.11. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job responsibility unless instructed to work from home by supervisor.12. Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.Distance Learning and Virtual Instruction Duties and Responsibilities In the event of a school closure in response to a disaster, flood, extreme weather condition, fuel curtailment, epidemic, pandemic or other calamity, the following duties and responsibilities will be added to the above listed Major Job Responsibilities and Duties, as directed by the Superintendent:13. Usage of personal equipment, including but not limited to personal cellular phone, personal computer, and personal internet service when working from home during a District closure due to government or Board order or during an emergency affecting normal District operations.14. Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.
