Heavy Equipment OperatorThe Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation of shore equipment on the fill site. The employee must be able to work 8 to 12 hour, rotating shifts on all types of dredges and marine construction projects. Must be able to provide transportation to and from the jobsite(s).
Extensive travel is required.Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Additional duties may be assigned)Operates equipment, moves and places material(s) efficiently and safelyAssists the foreman and other fill placers in the construction of shore pipeline and in the loading and unloading of deliveries, equipment, and materials via trucks, barges, etc.Performs daily inspections, light maintenance, upkeep of the equipment and other incidental work association with the operation of the shore disposal area and completes paperwork and submits to superintendentMonitors and inspects shore pipe for leaks or discharge, communicates with Leverman, and aids in repairs as neededPerforms JSAs prior to work activity and execute the work accordingly and maintains and ensures a safe working environmentEnsures compliance with Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employmentSkills, Education &/or Experience3+ years' experience as a heavy equipment operator. Must have ability to give and receive, understand, respond and follow verbal and written communications and instructions. Must be able to communicate, take direction well, and work cooperatively with other colleagues.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid picture identification required.
