Join Our TeamMid Valley Disposal is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Compost Operations site. If you enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy machinery, and being part of a company focused on environmental sustainability, we want to hear from you.This position plays a key role in keeping materials moving efficiently throughout our recycling and composting operations while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.What You'll DoSafely operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipmentMove, load, sort, and transport recyclable and waste materialsMaintain material flow to conveyors and processing areasComplete daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issuesMaintain clean and organized work areasIdentify and report unsafe conditions, contamination, or prohibited materialsFollow OSHA and company safety procedures at all timesWork closely with supervisors, spotters, maintenance staff, and team membersAssist with site cleanup and additional facility duties as neededWhat We're Looking ForPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably front-end loadersExperience in recycling, waste, or solid waste operations is a plusSkills & AbilitiesStrong safety awareness and attention to detailAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentReliable attendance and punctualityGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in the fieldWork EnvironmentThis role involves working around heavy equipment, dust, noise, and outdoor environmental conditions.
