Job Overview
Portzen Construction is seeking full-time Heavy Equipment Operators.
Responsibilities:
-
Operate various pieces of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders and other large equipment to erect structures, excavate, move or grade earth
-
Lift, position and place machinery, equipment and other objects at construction sites and industrial facilities
-
Repair and maintain equipment as needed
Requirements:
-
Must be at least 18 years old
-
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required to join the apprenticeship program
-
Previous experience working on construction job sites and operating heavy equipment
-
Able to read and understand construction documents
-
Able to follow safety guidelines at all times
-
Will work in varied conditions including hot and cold temperatures
-
Must wear personal protective equipment provided
This position is a full-time position that can be seasonal, some travel may be required within a 150 mile radius of Dubuque.
