We're committed to delivering high-quality solutions that enhance safety and efficiency on America's roadways.Duties And ResponsibilitiesOperates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site or highway construction and paving.Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.

Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, superintendent, or safety director.Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.Assists in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices. Controls traffic at worksites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas, as required or assigned.Assists in training lower-level employees performing the maintenance and repair duties as required or assigned.Make daily pre-trip inspections of assigned truck and other assigned equipmentDrive assigned vehicle/equipment to and from job site, as directedOperate equipment properly and in accordance with all manufacturer recommendations and training, in order to complete the necessary task.Manually load or unload equipment, materials or suppliesCorrectly load and secure all loadsAssist in traffic control as directedAssist in maintenance of assigned equipmentResponsible for maintaining assigned PPE and having proper PPE on hand for scheduled work.Responsible for providing, maintaining and attending work with hand tools listed on the required tools list provided to employee at hire.Participate in all required safety training including weekly ToolBox Talks.Clean and organize warehouse, shop, yard, office and vehicles to maintain a clean, safe work environmentMust follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols.Any other duties assigned as needed.Skills And KnowledgeMust possess good interpersonal skillsGood communications skills, both written and oralGood hand and foot coordinationAbility to read and understand gauges and other indicators.Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions.Strong critical thinking skillsAbility to apply concepts of basic mathAbility to manage time between two or more projects at one time.Ability to read and comprehend instructions and proceduresPossess minimum ability to read a tape measureThe ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended resultsMust successfully complete First Aid, CPR, AED and Flagger when assigned by the companyMust successfully complete Forklift certification – understand you are not permitted to operate company forklift until certification is received.Minimum QualificationsMust possess a current Driver's License, CDL A preferredMust be a minimum of 21-years-old to operate a company vehicleAbility to proficiently operate excavator, skid loader, forklift, telehandler, and bucket truckThe physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situationsMust be able to successfully complete the pre-employment process including a background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), and a drug screen.
