Equipment OperatorUnder general supervision, the Equipment Operator must be proficient in heavy equipment operation relating to earthmoving activities, including but not limited to, support of remediation activities, underground storage tank removal, soil excavation, backfilling, waste bulking, and/or demolition services, in accordance with established company policies. Equipment Operators will work on-site at project locations which typically include abandoned warehouses, buildings, highways, railyards or other outdoor areas. The work environment is usually dirty, dusty, and noisy, containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions.
Work includes handling hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment. The applicant must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends. Travel is required.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate various types of heavy equipment including excavators/dozers/backhoes/loaders/skid loaders/rough terrain forkliftsFollow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear.Operate routinely used tools and equipmentPerform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipmentLoad and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailersHazardous Waste OperationsComplete required paperwork, forms and records as requiredOther projects and duties as assigned.Experience and QualificationsMust have a Class "A/B" CDLConstruction industry experience, hazardous waste experience and certification (i.e.
