Heavy Equipment Operator - AL

Equipment OperatorInsight Global is hiring an equipment operator to support a large-scale roadway and civil construction project at Anniston Army Depot in AL. This individual is responsible for operating front-end loaders to move, stockpile, and load construction materials in support of excavation, grading, roadway construction, and site development activities. The ideal candidate has experience operating wheel loaders on heavy civil construction projects and can efficiently load haul trucks, maintain stockpiles, and support production while working safely around other heavy equipment and construction crews.

This is a fully on-site opportunity requiring 5, 8–10-hour shifts daily.Day to day responsibilities:Safely operate front-end loaders or excavators in an active heavy civil construction environmentLoad articulated dump trucks, haul trucks, and other equipment with soil, gravel, aggregate, rock, and excavated materialsBuild, maintain, and manage material stockpilesSupport excavation, grading, roadway construction, and site preparation activitiesTransport materials throughout the project site as neededAssist with loading imported fill, aggregate base, and other construction materialsWork closely with excavator, dozer, grader, water truck, and compaction crews to maintain production schedulesConduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenanceReport equipment issues, safety concerns, and maintenance needs promptlyFollow all OSHA, USACE, and company safety standards
