The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to work at our Specification Stone Products location in Burton, MI.The Heavy Equipment Operators perform all functions as it pertains to operating heavy off-road mobile equipment for the purpose of loading trucks, rail trucks, rail cars, feeding plant and stockpiling materials. Pay: $26/hr+ Shift/Schedule: Day Shift, M-F with occasional Saturdays Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral ProgramResponsibilitiesThe Equipment Operator will:Operate various heavy mobile equipment such as Cat 980 Front End Loaders and Skid SteersLoad trucks and stockpile materialUnload rail cars and stockpile in correct material pilesLoad trucks with the correct materials without contamination while complying with the legal weight limit for the trucksService plant as needed (i.e.

minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding)Shoveling aggregate under conveyors and around plantPerform light maintenance on equipment and plantKeep the work area clean and tidyComply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keepingMaintain work area to allow safe movement and accessMeet customer service expectationsOther duties as assigned by Plant ManagerSkillsThe ideal candidate will have:Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.Basic Mechanical aptitudeKnowledge and ability to operate heavy equipmentKnowledge of truck hauling capacities as well as loading and unloading proceduresKnowledge of equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, crusher, hot plant, and trucks)Knowledge of materials and specification requirementsAbility to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipmentAbility to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settingsValid driver's licenseTo Apply Please submit your resume.
