Heavy Equipment Operator (3-5 Years)

Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) to support active environmental remediation projects throughout New Jersey. This position will report to the shop in Farmingdale/Wall, NJ and work under the direction of a Senior Field Supervisor. This role primarily involves operating heavy equipment on environmental remediation sites, including soil excavation, groundwater treatment system installation support, and underground storage tank removals.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and experienced working in environmental or construction-based field environments.Responsibilities:Operate excavators, skid steers, and front-end loaders (minimum 5 years experience required)Perform soil excavation, removal, and site grading on remediation projectsAssist with underground storage tank (UST) removals and tank pullsSupport trenching and limited excavation workAssist with installation of groundwater treatment systemsFollow all project-specific health and safety plans (HASP)Maintain equipment in safe operating conditionUtilize proper PPE and adhere to OSHA and site safety standardsCoordinate daily activities with Senior Field Supervisor and site personnelTravel to various job sites throughout New JerseyRequirements:Minimum 5+ years of experience operating excavators, skid steers, and loadersCurrent OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certificationAbility to pass a physical, and drug screen (Hazmat)Experience working on environmental remediation sites preferredCDL Class A with air brakes strongly preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to work full-time (40 hours/week)Pay Range: $35.00/hr.- $40.00/hr.
