Shop Technician (Mechanic)
We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our teams in our Buda, Texas location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and diesel engines. Technical School Degrees, ASE certifications, or OEM certifications are seen as a plus, though not required. Those Mechanics with experience working on concrete pumps or comparable construction equipment will be given preference.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform inspections and routine maintenance on Concrete Pumps and accompanying trucks
Utilize OEM diagnostic software to troubleshoot faults.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
Diagnose and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems.
Test drive trucks before and after repairs if properly licensed.
Collaborate and communicate with the team and provide excellent customer service.
Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Use computerized equipment along with welding torches, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic jacks, screwdrivers, pliers, mallets, and precision gauges.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and diesel engines. We will consider technical school training as part of the experience requirement.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preliminary courses in computers, mathematics, electronics, and automotive and heavy equipment repair are beneficial.
Chassis, track, and brake component repair and maintenance experience.
Diesel engine maintenance, aftertreatment maintenance, and repair experience.
Hydraulic and electrical component maintenance, replacement, and repair experience.
Some welding and fabrication experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain other applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.
Ability to work in extreme weather, noise, and environmental conditions.
Ability to lift 100 lbs.
Must have own tools.
Full Time position with overtime available after 40-hour week.
Weekend/Evening hours are required occasionally.
