Parts Warehouse PersonVelocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is looking for a Parts Warehouse Person to join our team for following hours:Tuesday-Friday: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM & Saturday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMJob Classification Skills and QualificationsThe P.M. Technician maintains the fleet operation by completing inspections in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines. Correcting minor vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments, alignments and replacements at the direction of Management.

"See Required Activity/Skill List"Job DutiesDetermines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections; oil changes; chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts.Inspections to be performed both in shop and remotely to customer needs.Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades as directed, controlling corrosion and proper lubrication on each PM cycle.Corrects light repairs and vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling components, parts, or systems. Areas to include lighting, expendable equipment, air and electrical lines.Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.Performs tire repairs, replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off from vehicles as needed.Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.Keeps shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.Performs all duties of lesser classification, and other work-related duties as directed.Skills/QualificationsHigh School Diploma or its equivalent requiredPost-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred2 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field preferredMust have valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain a CDL within 120 days of hireAbility to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areasCompany will provide a Basic Set of Hand Tools upon hire to use in this positionBasic Technical UnderstandingAbility to follow all written and oral instructions, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Job KnowledgeAbility to implement and work in a strong safety environment at all timesAbility to work alone with little or no direction at timesPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesMust be able to pass post offer drug test, and physicalCompensation$23-$25/hourly depending on experience and qualificationsFull Time positionBenefits Velocity Vehicle Group OffersFantastic Culture401k + matchHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance + HSA & FSAEmployer paid Life InsurancePaid Vacation TimeSick LeaveCompany perks such as employee discounts, company events and training programsJoin us as an Entry-Level Diesel Technician, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service!Velocity Vehicle Group is an equal opportunity employer.
