Heat Treat OperatorWork Location: 900 Watson Center Road, Carson, CA, nd shift (9.5 hours per day); overtime is built into the schedule but is based on the workload.Mon-Fri (2pm-11:30pm)Contract OnlyEntry level position; training providedExperience with furnaces, fasteners, shakers is plus.This job is very labor intensive; standing on feet for long periods of time, working in hot heat environments (over 100 degrees). Additional breaks are provided.High School diploma or GED requiredMust be able to lift up to 30lbsOnsite interview requiredPhysical required; supplier initiated Background and Drug Screening Requirements: SSN Verification Education Verification (Highest Degree) Employment Verification (a minimum of 2 employers) National Criminal Search (7 year history) Federal Criminal Search (7 year history) Statewide Criminal Search (7 year history) Criminal County Search (7 year history) Office of Foreign Assets Control Check (OFAC) MVR searches as may be required for particular roles MK Denial " 5 Panel (No THC)Job DescriptionRequires specific knowledge of general heat treat requirements for aluminum, titanium, nickel based alloys, stainless, and alloy steelsMust be familiar with Heat Treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat treating.Must be familiar with the operation, adjustment and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers.Under the direction of an operator will batch loads for optimum productivityWill be trained and under guidance will set thermal couple, prepare load per optimal heat distribution of loadUnload furnacesResponsible for heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveysAbility to move parts on and off palletsInterpret hardness rating utilizing measuring tools and standardsPlaces work piece into a heating furnace for a specified period of timeWill be responsible for Hardness testing, utilizing specific calibrated hardness testing equipmentMust have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructionsMaintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.Skill/KnowledgeHigh School Diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years of relative manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsBasic computer knowledge preferredMust be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standardsRegularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearFrequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
