Northwell Health's Department of Cardiology is seeking a fellowship-trained Heart Failure Specialist to join their highly skilled cardiac team at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York. This role involves caring for complex heart failure patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to participate in transplant and LVAD programs at North Shore University Hospital. The successful candidate will contribute to a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive advanced heart failure care within a growing cardiology department.

- Join the Department of Cardiology at South Shore University Hospital, a tertiary hospital for Northwell's Eastern Region.
- The Advanced Heart Failure Program is a multidisciplinary team including heart failure cardiologists and surgeons, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacy, behavioral health, social work, exercise physiology, and nutritional services.
- Offer the full spectrum of care to advanced heart failure patients from medical to device and surgical therapies.
- Active clinical trials program providing access to advanced research and innovative medical-device therapies.
- Offer graduate medical training in all areas of cardiology, including advanced heart failure.
- Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners.
Responsibilities
- Take care of inpatient and outpatients with heart failure at South Shore University Hospital.
- Participate in the transplant and LVAD programs at North Shore University Hospital (opportunity).
Compensation

- Academic appointment with The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience.
- Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.

Requirements
- Fellowship-trained Heart Failure Specialist.
- BE/BC in ABIM Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
- Additional experience and ability to read Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests are a plus.
