Overview:

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the team at our clinic location at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, GA. This is a full‑time position. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly‑trained physicians and participate in a comprehensive line of cardiovascular services, including electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of cardiology patients in an outpatient hospital department/clinic, managing chronic patients.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patients’ record.
• Write consults and office visits.
• Prepare patient workups.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.
• Work alongside physicians and other cardiology advanced practice providers in a collaborative team.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for advanced practice nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board required.

Licenses and Certifications:

• ACLS upon hire required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) upon hire required.
• PA - Physician Assistant licensed in the state of Georgia with updated NCCPA certification upon hire required.
• ACNP - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner licensed for advanced practice nursing (ACNP/FNP) in the state of Georgia upon hire required.
