Hearing Program Coordinator
HCA Solutions is seeking a dedicated Hearing Program Coordinator to support the US Army Reserve located at 100 Military Drive, Charleston, WV. This role involves coordinating patient care, managing assessments, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality hearing health services.
This is a full-time (40hrs per week), long-term placement position. Monday - Friday 8:00a - 4:30pm. with 1/2hr lunch. HCA offers health benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and more.
Total compensation $22.41/per hour.
Duties
Track hearing readiness for the West Virginia National Guard and update MWDE system when needed.
Perform hearing tests with BENSON and WAHTS audiometers.
Input hearing tests, and re-tests into DOEHRS-HC software.
Work with J6 to maintain DOEHRS-HC software when updates are available.
Maintain WAHTS software on AUDHERE systems.
Send Benson and WAHTS audiometers in for yearly calibration.
Establish, and work with WV audiologists to coordinate care and schedule appointments for WVARNG soldiers.
Work with Medical Detachment providers and case managers to create profiles for soldiers when a hearing profile is needed.
Enter DD2216s and DD2215s into electronic health record system MEDCHART.
Maintain a DOEHRS and CAOHC hearing technician certification.
Maintain user profiles in local DOEHRS-HC system.
Coordinate audiometer maintenance with other sites at Wheeling, Bridgeport, Williamstown, and Kingwood, WV.
Travel to attend health screenings.
Qualifications
Experience in patient service or healthcare settings focusing on audiology. (1 year required)
Experience working with audiology equipment. (1 year required)
Certified Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques required.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to the ear and auditory system.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain instructions to conduct hearing tests.
Ability to manage intake processes efficiently and accurately document clinical findings.
Ability to work independently.
Must have reliable transportation.
Able to attend health screening fairs, some of which may require overnight stay.
