Position Overview
A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale ground-up healthcare projects across Tampa and Sarasota
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations for large-scale ground up projects.
- Manage subcontractors, manpower, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
- Maintain project schedules, two‑week look‑aheads, and daily reporting.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality‑control activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy.
- Oversee installation of structural steel, PEMB systems, CMU, slab work, MEP trades, and interior build‑outs.
- Conduct site walks with owners, architects, and project managers.
- Resolve field issues quickly to maintain workflow and prevent delays.
- Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Proficiency with daily logs, scheduling tools, and project documentation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
