Healthcare Regulatory Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Healthcare Regulatory Associate to join the Healthcare Regulatory practice of a leading global Am Law firm in Washington, DC or New York (with a preference for Washington, DC). This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience advising healthcare and life sciences companies on complex regulatory and compliance matters.The role offers the opportunity to work with healthcare providers, life sciences companies, digital health platforms, and investors on regulatory counseling, transactional diligence, compliance programs, and investigations within a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.ResponsibilitiesAdvise healthcare and life sciences clients on healthcare regulatory and compliance mattersCounsel clients on laws and regulations involving fraud and abuse, HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, and reimbursementSupport healthcare transactions, including private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic investmentsConduct regulatory diligence and assist with structuring healthcare-related corporate transactionsDevelop and advise on healthcare compliance programs and policiesProvide regulatory counseling to telehealth and digital health companiesDraft legal memoranda, regulatory analyses, and compliance documentationCollaborate with cross-practice teams on complex healthcare regulatory mattersQualifications3–5 years of healthcare regulatory experienceExperience advising clients on healthcare compliance and regulatory frameworksExperience supporting healthcare transactions, including private equity, M&A, or investment mattersPrior experience in a law firm environment requiredGovernment experience with agencies such as CMS, OCR, or DOJ is a plusStrong analytical, research, drafting, and communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneouslyJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentialsActive admission to the DC or New York BarCompensation & BenefitsThis position offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of approximately $260,000–$390,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
