An established New York-based firm is seeking a Healthcare Attorney to join its healthcare practice group in a hybrid work arrangement. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation, managing meaningful matters from start to finish, and advocating for healthcare providers in payment, guardianship, and administrative proceedings. Responsibilities include negotiating and resolving private pay matters, initiating litigation against individuals for non payment when appropriate, and handling guardianship matters from initiation through hearing and resolution.
The role includes conducting nursing home discharge hearings, initiating estate proceedings in Surrogate's Court, and appealing denials of benefits from Medicaid, managed care plans, and insurers. The Attorney will also collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies while ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare and procedural laws.
