HEAL (Health Education Access League) is an international youth-led nonprofit dedicated to making health education accessible, understandable, and actionable for teens. Our Mentorship Program connects experienced individuals in health, medicine, public health, and related fields with students who are eager to learn and grow.
We are seeking mentors to support and guide high school and college-aged students interested in health-related fields and advocacy.
Responsibilities
Mentors in the HEAL program may:
- Provide guidance on academic, career, or research pathways in health-related fields
- Offer insight into medicine, public health, healthcare systems, or related disciplines
- Meet periodically with assigned mentees for 1:1 or small group conversations
- Support mentees in goal-setting, skill development, and exploration of interests
- Share advice, resources, and personal experience to support learning and growth
- Encourage professional development, curiosity, and confidence in mentees
Mentorship is flexible and designed to fit around mentors’ availability.
Qualifications
We are looking for mentors who are:
- Students (college level or above), professionals, or individuals with experience in healthcare, public health, or related fields
- Strong communicators who enjoy supporting and guiding others
- Willing to share knowledge, experiences, and advice
- Reliable and able to maintain periodic communication with mentees
- Passionate about education, mentorship, or youth development
Prior formal mentoring experience is helpful but not required.
