Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time BC/BE Adult Headache Neurologist to join their multispecialty neurology group, the largest in the SF Bay area. This role involves working with a dedicated team of Headache specialists to further develop a comprehensive Headache program, providing longitudinal care in both outpatient and telemedicine settings. The position offers the opportunity to expand practice focus to include general neurology, inpatient consultations, clinical research, and teaching.

Practice Info

  • Work with a team of 3 physicians, 1 NP, and 2 nurses in the Headache program
  • Headache clinic sees a broad range of referrals from within the group, the greater San Francisco medical community, the SF Bay Area, and the Sutter Northern CA network
  • Specialized headache program focuses on providing comprehensive longitudinal care in both outpatient and telemedicine settings
  • Headache program is part of a larger neurology group that includes specialists in movement disorders, epilepsy, dementia, neuromuscular, stroke, neuro-IR, neurosurgery, neuropsychology, and neuroradiology
  • Regularly scheduled Neuroscience grand rounds and case conferences (neuroradiology, neuro-oncology, and others)
  • Practice is located in a new medical office building across the street from CPMC Medical Center in the heart of San Francisco

Responsibilities

  • Continue building a comprehensive Headache program
  • Provide comprehensive longitudinal care in both outpatient and telemedicine settings
  • Perform procedures, including Botox, occipital nerve blocks, SPG blocks, etc.
  • Expand focus of practice to include outpatient Headache clinic in surrounding Bay Area communities
  • Expand focus of practice to include outpatient general neurology
  • Expand focus of practice to include inpatient consultations and call
  • Engage in clinical research through affiliation with the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute
  • Teach medical students and residents

Compensation

  • $318,000 - $415,000 /Yr.

Requirements

  • BC/BE Neurologist
  • Fellowship and/or board certification in Headache Neurology
