Head of Tax

A leading global financial services organization with a significant U.S. presence is seeking an experienced Head of Tax to lead its U.S. tax function. This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility across tax reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of corporate tax experience who demonstrates strong leadership and presentation skills proven to provide forward‑looking strategy and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. tax function including operations, compliance, US GAAP, and regulatory reporting
• Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance, filings, and audits
• Manage quarterly tax forecasts and annual planning processes
• Partner with global tax leadership on strategic initiatives, transformation efforts, and tax due diligence
• Lead Pillar II tax reporting for U.S. entities
• Work closely with senior leadership on complex tax matters and communicate with non‑tax stakeholders
• Ensure strong internal controls over income tax processes

Ideal Background

• 12+ years of experience ideally within insurance or financial services
• Senior leadership experience in a multinational environment
• Deep expertise in U.S. corporate tax
• CPA or JD required; MST or MBA strongly preferred
• Proven ability to balance strategy with execution in a complex organization
• Strong communicator with executive presence
