Head of Property Management | Multifamily

We’re partnering with a privately held multifamily real estate owner-operator to hire a Head of Property Management.

This newly created position will oversee the company’s Los Angeles property management platform, including maintenance, renovations, leasing, administration, technology, and financial performance.

The role is ideal for a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who wants meaningful operating authority and the opportunity to build a more scalable platform.

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day property management operations across a multifamily portfolio.
• Oversee maintenance, renovations, leasing, and administrative functions.
• Develop and implement consistent workflows, SOPs, and accountability systems.
• Improve the use of Yardi, technology, reporting, and operating data.
• Establish processes for maintenance requests, city citations, tenant accommodations, insurance claims, renovations, and emergency response.
• Monitor financial performance and report key trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
• Develop measurable operational and financial KPIs.
• Lead, coach, and hold property operations teams accountable.
• Visit properties regularly and remain available for urgent operational matters.
• Build a scalable operating platform capable of supporting future growth.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of multifamily property management experience.
• At least 3 years in a Director, Vice President, or comparable leadership position.
• Experience overseeing multiple properties and operating functions.
• Strong understanding of multifamily financial performance, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience leading maintenance, renovation, leasing, and property-level teams.
• Demonstrated success creating processes, SOPs, and accountability systems.
• Experience with Yardi.
• Los Angeles multifamily and rent-control experience strongly preferred.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Willingness to work in the office five days per week when not visiting properties.
