Job Description

A global leader in mineral processing technology and services is seeking a Head of Process to lead its process engineering, metallurgy, and laboratory capability across North America.

This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, customer engagement, and capability development, overseeing both process engineering teams and laboratory operations. The successful candidate will shape the region’s technical direction, ensure high-quality delivery of metallurgical programs and studies, and help grow the organization’s technical presence in the North American market.

The Head of Process leads the process and metallurgy team, while working through a Laboratory Manager who oversees day-to-day lab operations. The focus of the role is leadership, technical oversight, and building a high-performing function rather than executing routine test work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the process engineeringand metallurgy team delivering test work programs, studies, andtechnical services.
• Provide leadership to the LaboratoryManager, ensuring safe, efficient, and disciplined laboratoryoperations.
• Act as a senior technicalinterface with customers, supporting early-stage project discussionsand technical reviews.
• Oversee preparation andapproval of technical and commercial proposals for metallurgicalprograms and engineering services.
• Ensure high-qualitytechnical delivery, schedule performance, and strong customer outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to expandtechnical capability, grow services, and strengthen the regional offering.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineersand metallurgists as the business grows.

Requirements

We arelooking for an experienced technical leader with a strong background in mineralprocessing and metallurgical services.

• Degree in MetallurgicalEngineering, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related field
• Significant experience in metallurgicaltest work, process engineering, or mineral processing services
• Experience leadingengineers, metallurgists, or laboratory teams
• Strong understanding of how testwork feeds process design and engineering studies
• Experience in customer-facingtechnical roles
• Background with a processengineering firm, OEM, metallurgical laboratory, or mineral processingservices company
• Experience with flotation,hydrometallurgy, or pilot-scale programs
• Exposure to flowsheetdevelopment and study-stage engineering
• Experience across sectors suchas mineral sands, iron ore, industrial minerals, or critical minerals
