Head of Preclinical

Executive Director / VP, Head of Preclinical Development

**Requires onsite presence weekly in NJ or PA. Relocation assistance available**

We're partnering with a leading cell therapy biotech to hire a VP/Executive Director, Head of Preclinical Development. This newly created leadership role will drive global preclinical strategy across an expanding oncology pipeline, leading programs from candidate nomination through IND submission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead global preclinical development and IND-enabling strategy
• Oversee in vitro/in vivo pharmacology, immunology, and nonclinical development
• Drive regulatory interactions and global IND submissions
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across the US and China
• Partner cross-functionally to advance pipeline programs into the clinic

What We're Looking For:

• PhD and 15+ years in preclinical drug development with leadership experience
• Direct CAR-T/cell therapy experience (required)
• Strong background in in vitro & in vivo pharmacology and IND-enabling studies
• Experience supporting viral vector technologies within cell therapy
• Oncology and/or immunology expertise
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced biotech environment
