Head of People (Fully Remote)

Substack is looking for a Head of People to build and scale our People function at a pivotal stage of growth. You’ll own the strategy, systems, and programs that shape how we hire, develop, reward, and support our team. Responsibilities: Lead and scale the People function across recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee experience, performance management, and talent development. Build and run training, learning and development, and leadership coaching programs. Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee relations. Who You Are: You have 8+ years of progressive People or HR experience with leadership across benefits, compensation, leveling, and reviews. You're a self-starter who sets the pace, is resourceful, and can both get hands-on and delegate. Startup or growth-stage experience is required; strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making are essential. Compensation: The cash compensation salary range is $250,000 to $295,000.
