Head of IT (m/f/d)

As Head of IT (m/f/d), you will assume overall responsibility for our IT infrastructure and IT security in an international environment. You will combine technological expertise with strong leadership and, together with your five-person team, continuously develop the areas of infrastructure, cloud and IT security in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

This position is based at our company headquarters in Gyhum/Bockel and is full-time (40 hours) and permanent. The possibility of hybrid working exists.

These tasks await you:

• You are responsible for the planning, operation and further development of our entire IT infrastructure including cloud environments (Azure, AWS), network and externally operated data center
• You lead and develop our IT team, set clear goals and promote the development of expertise, while being both a strategic thinker and an operational initiator
• You are responsible for our IT security strategy, carry out risk analyses and ensure compliance with all data protection and compliance requirements
• You plan and manage IT projects from migration to system implementation with responsibility for budget, schedules and stakeholder communication
• You manage external IT service providers and partners, negotiate contracts and SLAs and ensure the service quality of our providers

That’s what we’re going for:

• You have a degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification as well as several years of experience in IT operations and IT management
• You have in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365), virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and Windows and/or Linux server environments
• You understand IT security and compliance not as a duty, but as an attitude and have experience in implementing security guidelines and data protection requirements
• You are a modern leader who thinks strategically, acts operationally and communicates technical topics clearly in German and English
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented and service-oriented manner and have experience in managing external service providers and in IT project management
