Head of Finance

The Opportunity

The Head of Finance (title flexible) role will serve as the company’s senior finance partner and second-in-command to the CEO on all things financial. This is a hands-on, FP&A-forward role ideal for a high-potential finance leader stepping into their first top finance seat.

What You’ll Do

• Own company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, including cash runway management following the recent fundraise.
• Partner closely with the CEO and Board to deliver clear, credible forecasts, pipeline visibility, and spend plans.
• Build and maintain operating models that connect revenue, pipeline, capacity planning, and spend.
• Support GTM leadership by helping quantify ROI, pricing decisions, customer value, and resource allocation.
• Translate financial data into insights that help customers understand the value of their investment.
• Manage relationships with external partners including PwC, outsourced bookkeeping/controller support, and investors.
• Improve financial systems, reporting, and cadence using existing tools (QuickBooks, HubSpot), with an eye toward scalability.
• Support future fundraising efforts, including data room preparation, modeling, and investor materials.
• Act as a trusted, cross-functional partner willing to lean into operational questions as the business scales.

What We’re Looking For

• Willing to work in the San Francisco office 2–3 days per week.
• 5–8+ years of experience in finance, with a strong FP&A background.
• Strong understanding of SaaS operating models.
• Experience in VC-backed startups or high-growth technology companies.
• Prior experience as a #2 finance leader (e.g., Director of FP&A, Finance Lead) ready to step into a Head of Finance role.
• Strong forecasting, modeling, and analytical skills; comfort presenting to executives and boards.
• Experience working closely with Sales, Marketing, and GTM teams on forecasting and commercial scaling.
• Familiarity managing outsourced accounting and audit relationships.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none previously existed.
• Experience supporting fundraising or investor relations is a plus
