Head of Finance

For the first time in decades, power demand growth in the US has jumped 5x driving multi-year

lead times for critical power infrastructure. K1 converts and deploys jet engines into modular gas

turbine power packages at scale now, not in 3 years.

We are building and testing our first systems outside of Reno, Nevada next to Lake Tahoe and are

backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The Role

You will be our first finance hire to build and operate the financial systems of our company. This

means working closely with all teams and external partners daily. You will be comfortable closing

the books in the morning to reviewing financial models with investors in the afternoon.

What You'll Work On

FP&A

• Build and maintain company financial model, unit economics, scenario analysis, should cost
• Cash management, internal reporting, and capital planning

Accounting and Controls

• Implement and operate accounting processes, manage outside partners where relevant
• Drive quarterly and annual reporting

Capital Markets and Financing

• Support fundraising including investor materials and diligence
• Develop and structure multiple sources of capital non-dilutive capital

You Might Be a Great Fit If

• 3-7 years finance experience in manufacturing, energy, capital markets, or heavy industry
• Deeply curious and bias for action
• Strong modeling skills complemented with high EQ
• Know the desired end state but continuously improving with pragmatic execution

Bonus Points for any of

• Start up or early stage company experience
• Familiarity with equipment sales, service, and power contract structures and financing
• You have stood up the finance stack at a company before

Location

This role is based in the Reno / Carson City, NV area with regular time at K1's test facility outside

Reno, NV. We need someone who is local or willing to relocate. If you are not local, significant and

regular travel to the site will be required.
