Head of Finance

Overview

TalentoHC has partnered with a high-growth technology company at a critical stage of scale to identify a Head of Finance. This role will lead the company’s finance function end to end, encompassing financial strategy, planning, and operational execution. As the senior finance leader, you will partner closely with the CEO and executive team, serving as a trusted advisor in driving data-informed decisions and building a scalable finance organization.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building systems, processes, and teams from the ground up. The role operates in a hybrid work environment with regular in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the company’s financial strategy, including long-range planning, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and integrated financial and operating models tied to core business metrics.
• Serve as the primary finance partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing insight into performance, unit economics, and strategic trade-offs.
• Prepare and present financial materials for Board and investor engagements, including performance reporting, scenario analysis, runway planning, and fundraising support.
• Lead capital strategy and fundraising efforts, including financial modeling, diligence preparation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives such as partnerships or acquisitions.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, tax, compliance, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Design and evolve scalable financial systems, controls, and processes that balance speed, accuracy, and governance.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support pricing, monetization, go-to-market strategy, and headcount planning through data-driven analysis.
• Build, hire, and develop a high-performing finance organization capable of scaling with the business.
• Continuously improve financial processes, reporting, and planning infrastructure, championing automation and modern tools to enhance efficiency and forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• Experience operating in a high-growth technology or software environment.
• Deep understanding of subscription-based or recurring revenue business models.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business impact.
• Experience overseeing accounting operations, audits, tax, and financial compliance.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, from executive-level communication to hands-on execution.
• Exceptional communication and influence skills with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
