Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Otolaryngologist with Head and Neck Oncology sub-specialization to join their hospital-employed ENT practice. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized surgical oncologic care within a strong team, supported by a regional referral base of over 500,000 patients. The position emphasizes work/life balance with a 4-day work week and no facial trauma call, allowing for flexible practice development within a tertiary care and Level II Trauma center.

Practice Info

  • Hospital-employed, salaried, general/subspecialty ENT practice
  • Current practice includes Otolaryngologists of general and sub-specialty background, and 5 Physician Associates
  • Close partnership with the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute, which provides genetic testing/counselling services, facilitates tumor boards, and offers additional support services
  • Well-established hospital-based practice with no administrative duties or capital investment requirements
  • Regional Tertiary Care and ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center serving a patient population of 500,000

Responsibilities

  • Provide Head and Neck surgical oncologic care alongside existing team of generalists and Head & Neck providers
  • Cover general adult and pediatric ENT call and clinic patients as needed
  • Collaborate with other surgical specialties, including plastics and neurosurgery (including skull base)
  • Tailor extent of extirpative/reconstructive services provided

Compensation

  • $500,000-$535,000 annual base salary with the ability to earn additional compensation based on productivity
  • The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position
  • The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.
