Home most weekendsBe in a local operators union or willingness to get into oneOperation of Horizontal Directional Drill MachinesOperate HDD Locator a plusHelp with HDPE FusionNot only run the drill but help crew when needed with other tasksHelp Locate Utilities and know and understand what you will be crossingWater and sewer installation and testing a plusSolid understanding of trenching and excavation safety.Operate Excavators, Loaders, Skid Steer, Backhoe as needed.Other duties as requested by the supervisor.General Maintenance on the directional drillOther duties as requested by theHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experienced Horizontal Directional Drill OperatorFusion experience and certification for HDPE a plusPrior experience in underground utility work.Class A CDL or willingness to get one is a plus but not required.Strong independent work ethic with ability to work within a team.Clear and concise communications.Strong sense of urgency, focusing on time.Approximately 100% of the position will work from the field.Approximately 100% of the position will require travel.Some lifting up to 20lbs. is required.
