Identify suspicious and malicious events, establish and maintain baselines and alerting thresholds. Coordinate with departments throughout Information Services to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with system availabilityAct as a project team lead for the design, configuration and deployment of enterprise security solutionsMentor junior personnel using knowledge transfer sessions, presentations and on the job training opportunitiesReport all instances of device and user non-compliance to the Office of Information SecurityAs directed by the Chief Information Security Officer, assist with investigations relating to theft of information resources, abuse of computer systems and violation of the UTMB Information Security policy and/or any other privacy policies.Develop, maintain and comply with all documented policies, practice standards, processes and proceduresAdhere to internal controls and reporting structurePerforms related duties as requiredRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and CCNP credentialsExperience: Eight (8) years of related experienceCertification: CCNP Security required or obtained within 6 months of hireSkills: Experience with Cisco Enterprise Security products (Firepower, WSA, Secure X, ASA), TCP/IP networking protocols and services such as OSPF, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etcBasic knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Linux-variant operating systems such as the file system structure, system services, typical behavior of endpoints and serversBasic knowledge of cloud-based services such as Microsoft Office 365 and Azure productivity toolsThis is a contract position through UTMB HealthCare Systems Staffing (the in-house staffing agency for UTMB).
