HCC Coding Auditor

To support a HCC coding project, the full-time contract HCC Coding Auditor will perform quality assurance reviews of coded medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client-specific coding guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities Audit coded medical records according to client-specific guidelines and project requirements Perform quality assurance reviews on randomly selected charts and maintain a minimum 95% quality accuracy at the diagnosis level Transition between different client guidelines and projects while participating in weekly coding project review meetings Required qualifications MUST HAVE previous Humana experience Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience Current AHIMA or AAPC coding credential (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC) Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding Strong understanding of medical terminology and disease processes
