Hardware Software Systems EngineerGeoLogics has an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Software Systems EngineerRate Range: $115/hr - $143/hr W2 Depends on experience and benefits chosenLocation: Middletown, RI 02842 (no relocation package offered)Clearance: Top Secret/SCI (US Citizenship REQUIRED)Duration: 12+ month contract or Contract to Hire***No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED***Responsibilities:Capture program requirements baseline in a requirements databaseMaintain, through configuration management processes, the requirements databaseAnalyze, develop and decompose Level 1 requirements to Levels 2 through 4, through collaborating with leads across engineering disciplinesDevelop and execute the requirements verification strategyCoordinate with the Design and Test leads to ensure validation/verification plans and procedures are robust and satisfy system sell off requirementsEnsure the system meets performance and nonperformance requirementsChampion process improvement initiativesLead various system development and troubleshooting tasksInterface and collaborate with external customer scientists, engineers and program managementWork within program leadership team to ensure program successCommunicate through oral presentations and written reports on program status, issues and successHow will the contractor's success be measured?Completes development of requirements traceability, and qualification testing suite development approved by customerCompletes support of HW/SW system acceptance testing and reporting with deliverables accepted by customer.Required Skills: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.An Active DoD secret clearanceThis position may require some domestic travel (less than 10%)Experience developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices, and in configuration control boards (CCBs) as well as expertise with a requirements database tool, such as DOORSDesired Skill Sets:Experience in a technical leadership role, e.g. Lead Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, etc.Experience in multidiscipline system design and testingExperience in requirements analysis, development, decomposition and maintenanceExperience developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices, and in configuration control boards (CCBs) as well as expertise with a requirements database tool, such as DOORSEducation Level Required: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
