Hardware Engineering Manager
We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of hardware engineers in Syracuse, NY.
In this role, you will manage a team designing electronics for precision manufacturing instruments.
Your main focus will be mentoring team members, providing technical guidance, and guiding products from early prototypes to full production.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and support electrical engineers through regular check-ins, career planning, and building a collaborative team culture.
- Technical Oversight: Guide circuit design, PCB layouts, signal processing, and testing, while reviewing and approving technical documentation.
- Product & Process Management: Oversee product development from early concepts to manufacturing using flexible, iterative project management methods.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, mechanical, and product teams, and evaluate new tools and techniques to improve engineering processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years in electronics engineering, with at least 2 years in a team lead or management role.
- Direct experience with circuit design (analog, digital, or RF) and bringing products from concept to market.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
