Akkodis is seeking a Hardware Engineer for a 6+ months Contract position with a client located in Phoenix AZ .
Pay Range: $52/hr. - $57/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description: Key Responsibilities
* Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products.
* Plan and execute Design Verification testing on Avionics products.
* Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance.
* Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance.
* Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment.
* Lead obsolete-component replacement investigations.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 4+ years experience in Hardware/Product Engineering.
* Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification.
We Value
* Experience with Product Safety principles for Airborne Electronic Hardware.
* Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.).
* Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD).
* Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging.
* Experience with serial data communication standards (ARINC 429, RS232, I2C).
* Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications.
* Experience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization.
* Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes.
* Clear and concise communications.
