nThe Work
nThis is a position for a Hardware Engineer Lead on the Rotary Training Solutions Blackhawk simulator.
nAs the Hardware Engineering Lead on this team, you will:
nLead other Hardware Engineers that synchronizes engineering, procurement, production planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure design is completed as scheduled. Candidate will also develop innovative solutions to a range of complex problems that are consistent with the program objectives.
nBe a member of Integrated Product Team responsible for the scope and associated cost and schedule. Interface with cross functional teams and customer on regular basis to effectively execute the scope.
nThis position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.
n10 - 20% Domestic and/or international travel will be required.
nBasic Qualifications:
nBachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, and generally, has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
nActive development of new mechanical design engineering principles and full demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and related disciplines
nIssuing formal design checking approvals or non-conformance reports through the PLM tool.
nDeveloping and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles
nDeveloping and generating HW architectural layouts for system and lower level interfaces between systems and subsystems
nDeriving Hardware and sub tier requirements from customer requirements
nBuilding BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation
nDemonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams through major technical reviews throughout the acquisition lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
nExperience applying Hardware Engineering processes in an Agile environment.
nPrior engagement experiences requiring communication of technical concepts to external stakeholders
nDesired Skills:
nExperience with Windchill, Creo, Windchill and/or Catia, Zuken and Cameo.
nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and demonstrated perform complex system-level tolerance analysis.
nKnowledge of generating hardware architecture, high level interconnects, and deriving requirements from customer and system level flow downs.
nPrior experience in the development, integration, and deployment of flight training systems.
nLeveraged Agile tenets in the execution of the development of software intensive systems, inclusive of driving development of Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware, and Test Engineering work products.
nProduct design experience in the context of modular open systems architectures (e.g. SOA).
nExperience with Rotary and/or Fixed Wing Aircraft or Training System Design.
nExperience with full motion simulators.
nActive Secret Security clearance or higher.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
