Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive and technology industry, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development Department supporting the Test Development team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $70-$75/hour + Benefit

What's the Job?

• Develop, document, and execute component and system-level hardware testing procedures
• Collaborate with suppliers, design, and system engineers to characterize hardware performance
• Conduct testing on early prototypes and qualification testing on modules for vehicle use
• Create custom test assets such as load simulators, test harnesses, and Python scripts
• Draft and present Test Plans, Design Reviews, and Data Reviews to ensure quality standards

What's Needed?

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of professional experience in electronics development and testing
• Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, environmental chambers, and spectrum analyzers
• Knowledge of design tools like Altium, 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Catia), and scripting in Python
