Hardware Engineer

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $130,000.00 Hourly
Job Summary:
Responsible for reviewing product requirement documentation (PRD) and create a feasibility study to implement requirements. Once product is approved, create Technical Product Specification (TPS) document.
- Schematic design based upon TPS and feedback to board design group concerning component placement.
- Direct and review PCB layout.
- Supply product specification to manufacturing and supply feedback during product initial release.
- Product sustaining during product lifecycle.
- Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies and develops recommendations accordingly.
- Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
- Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements.
- Stay up to date on company products and project goals- identify hidden barriers and opportunities.
- Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience, Skills & Abilities:
- 3+ years of schematic design experience
- Knowledge of high-speed PB design techniques
- Basic knowledge of “C” programming language
- Understanding of networking: Ethernet, Fiber, PCI based designs.
