Hardware Development EngineerWe are seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team developing advanced industrial automation and control systems. In this role, you will contribute across the full hardware product development lifecycle—from circuit design and integration to testing, analysis, and regulatory compliance. This position offers strong mentorship, hands-on learning, and opportunities to grow technical ownership and responsibility over time.

If you are team-oriented, curious about new technologies, and motivated by continuous improvement, this is an excellent opportunity to build and expand your hardware engineering career.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate within an agile, cross-functional team to design and develop new industrial automation products, including system architecture and hardware verificationDesign, program, analyse, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypesPrepare and maintain product design documentation and test reportsResearch and evaluate new technologies, tools, and design approaches to support product developmentSupport failure analysis and troubleshooting activitiesWork with engineering peers to implement test automation and simulation solutionsBuild strong working relationships across teams to support the full product development lifecycleContribute to a culture of continuous improvement and engineering best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical disciplineAt least 2 years of hands-on experience in cross-functional hardware product developmentExperience using design capture tools with the ability to read and interpret schematicsSolid understanding of circuit theory and electronic system operationHands-on experience with hardware test equipment such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analysersStrong attention to detail and sense of ownershipExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLegal authorisation to work in the United States (Our client sponsorship is not available for this role)Preferred QualificationsExperience with one or more of the following: microprocessors, digital logic devices, analogue or DC power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs/FPGAs), Ethernet, wireless technologies, or analogue designProgramming experience in Python and/or C++, particularly for hardware test or automation applicationsExperience working in a scaled agile development environmentFamiliarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC 61508), EMC standards (e.g. IEC 61000), or other electronics compliance standardsGrowth mindset with a willingness to learn, mentor others, and expand technical responsibility
